Thanks for your comments. Just catching up after feeding the mother and mother-in-law! If you're referring to the shoes/feet quote Raymond, I don't know who its by but agree, it hits the spot.

Love to read your great post today and thanks for sharing nice quotes. I agree, negative thoughts and feelings is one of the barriers in finding happiness.

For me personally, the thing thats made me very happy is doing a job I love and enjoy. We spend 8hrs+ a day at work. You gotta love it or you will be unhappy.

This is a great contribution to the project, David. I, too, try to concentrate on being grateful for what I have, rather than focusing on what I (believe) I lack. Cutting back on television helps tremendously with this, as does limiting exposure to other sources of advertising.

Happiness begins on the inside. It is not about who or what we have going on. It is about living with purpose, with heart, with spirit. Happiness comes from shrinking the inner critic, from loving, from expressing ourselves creatively while having fun. It is about living the inner child in you.

    Keep up the excellent blog,

    Joseph

I think you're right. People sometimes focus on chasing their 'dream' of having more money believing that that will make them happier. In fact it can burn them out. You're better off finding out exactly what makes you happy and chase that instead. Money can't buy you happiness
